Ok so on saturday we went to The Trail of Lights in Zilker Park in downtown. It was a perfect night for it it was about 65 degrees so it was nice though VERY crowded.
Then on sunday I had to rush Peter to the hospital he got a hold of and ate one of Petes diabetes meds . SOo we spent all day sunday in the hospital my poor baby had his fingers pricked every hour to check his blood sugar. By 10 pm his numbers went back up and we were able to go home Monday morning. What a scary thing to go thru. So now I am being paranoid about everything, you know you hear all kinds of stories but you always think well it wont happen to me and that is how I felt, Not that we are invisible but that we are cautious enough I was wrong. I just wish it didnt happen but it did and now we have to be a bit more cautious. It was a crazy ordeal I took him to a hospital in Round Rock and they didnt have a pediatric unit but they did treat him enough to keep him stable then they transfered us to Dell Childrens Hospital and we sat in the ER till about 7:30 then they admitted us, then by the time I got him all settled and to sleep of course they came in to prick his finger again and it was going up nicely so first thing Monday morning they sent us home.
So now Christmas is upon us and we will be busy making a gingerbread house and baking cookies for Santa. Merry Christmas Friends and Family!!!! I will post pics soon
